Jim Rappold (17U National Black Asst. Coach)
Bio:
Jim grew up in Delavan, Wisconsin where he attended Delavan-Darien High School and was a two-year varsity starter. His senior year, he helped lead his team to a Southern Lakes Western Conference title and a school record of 19-2. Jim continued his basketball career at the University of Rock County in Janesville, Wisconsin where the Unicorns won back-to-back conference titles. His junior and senior years, he played for Greenville College (now called Greenville University) located in Greenville, IL. Following college, he moved to Florida and coached two years of junior varsity girls’ basketball at Bloomingdale High School. After moving to Crown Point, he continued his coaching career at Kankakee Valley High School, where he was the junior varsity coach for six years. Subsequently, he spent 11 years at Hobart High School as junior varsity head coach and varsity assistant. For the last few years, he has been coaching both his sons’ AAU and school teams including freshman boys’ basketball at Illiana Christian High School. Jim is a 6th grade science teacher at Hobart Middle School.
